Maxine Stewart and baby Charles

Susan Maxine Stewart, 23, wife of Walter S. Stewart of Longview, WA. She passed away at Longview Thursday, January 18, a short time after the birth of a baby boy who also failed to survive. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Dickinson of Falls City. Mrs. Stewart was born May 25,1916, at Moorcroft, Wyoming. Maxine went through school in a one room grade school and graduated from Moorcroft High School. She took “Normal Training” and became a teacher and taught two years and then married her high school sweetheart, Walter Stewart. She married Mr. Stewart at Moorcroft in 1935 and in 1937 the young couple moved to Oregon, residing at Falls City until about four months ago when they moved to Longview. Her infant son, who preceded her in death by a few hours, was buried with her.
