William Anagnostou

William Ulysses Anagnostou, 80, of Kelso passed away Jan. 14,2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Longview. He was born on May 24, 1923 in Marcus, WA to Sam and Barbara Anagnostou. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from Jan 1941-May 1946. He was a WWII Pearl Harbor survivor.

On Sept 16, 1949 he married Nellie Hunt, whom he had met while attending Junior college. He retired from the Longview School District in 1984 after working for 32 years as an Elementary School teacher.. Bill enjoyed time at the beach, clam digging, bike riding, swimming, and yard work. He was known for his love of everyone he knew, always giving a handshake or a hug. He was always a loving and supportive father that cared for his family.
