Erma Sunshine Ferguson

Erma passed away in Warrenton, Oregon on Sept. 27th at the age of 93. She was born close to Falls City, Oregon on Nov. 6,1923 to William and Belle Teal. She married Donald Ferguson on Jan. 31, 1941 in Lewiston, ID. They spent most of their married life in Falls City. They had four sons Duane, Dean, Rick, and Steve. He died in 1964. Erma raised her sons in Falls City making that her home for many years. She was very active in her community having served on the city council for years, chairperson of Falls Mushroom Festival, member of Eastern Star, member of Polk County Historical Society, volunteer at local schools and took in foster care children for a number of years. She attended the United Methodist Church. She was known as a “Grandma” throughout the area for her love of children and her community.
