Donald Ferguson

Donald LeRoy Ferguson, 45, resident of Falls City all his life and active in affairs there, died of a heart attack Saturday, January 4, 1964 at his home. He would have been 46 years old Feb 2. His death is the second in the family within a month as his brother, Melvin Ferguson, was accidentally killed in Salem December 4.

He was born at Falls City Feb 2, 1918 son of Chauncy N. Ferguson. He married Erma Teal Jan. 31, 1941 at Lewiston, Idaho. They had spent most of their married life at Falls City. Currently he was serving on the City Council and was an active member of the fire department. He had been a guard at the state penitentiary, Salem, for the past eight years. The heart attack came unexpectedly as he did not realize he had heart trouble.
